The brisk chill in the air and morning mists announce Autumn’s return as it progressively colours the countryside and its magnificent contours with spectacular hues and shades, confirming that this glorious season is as much a part of our heritage as our monuments, literature, music and the finer things life has to offer us.

For an update on an intense season, with its early and dry spring that turned into a mini summer; fortunately June's drought was followed by a little precipitation in July and August. September's sunshine enabled the grapes to ripen well to finally give a fine vintage. The harvest was the earliest ever in Château Vilatte's history, as picking for the grape juice starting on the 25th August.
