Thanks to our musician friends, the highlight of summer at Château Vilatte was the organization (in partnership with the Association Historique de Puynormand and the Caves de la Tour du Roy in Saint Emilion) of a mini classical music festival. The festival’s first concert was held in the centennial barn, refurbished for the occasion into Château Vilatte’s concert and reception hall. Most of July had been dedicated to tidying up, dismantling and refurbishing the inside and adding a touch of modernity whilst respecting the shape, construction materials and the original function of this magnificent building. The acoustics are surprising, but the venue is also intended as a reception hall for wine tasting events, exhibitions, lunches or dinners for groups visiting the domain or for future cultural events.
